My Rangitoto Trip

WALT: write a recount about our trip.

Malama Honua Recount

On the 25 of march 2015 the Malama Honua voyage met the manaiakalani schools and we went to point england beach and we done a haka.When we got there some teacher chose 4 people that can lead us in the process..Then a man said a lot of maori words and he said stuff about maui and the sun.He talk with wise words but I couldn't understand his words because he said it in maori.After he finished his speech we sang a waiata It was E honore.After that we heard a speech from a man that came from Hawaii.

It was amazing that they came along, long way to awaken the spirits of some people.When he finished the speech more and more people came from the boats and they came in from a man that was in a boat that looked like a speed boat.We had to do the haka and waiata because of the other visitors that came.

We done the haka loud and and waiata loud that I had to block m years.There was Point England and St Pieiss also there was Raportaka school.It started to get exciting because they sang some songs that were traditional.I like there traditional songs because there cacthy.

Some people were laughing because the speackers cut out.It was boring but I got used to it.My teacher said that we were the loudest school out of them all.I knew that we were because I could’nt here the other schools over us.

Then another man was talking.We were the last ones to touch the visitors hands.The other schools went first.When I touched those peoples hands.
